Which files are supported?
This converter reads a restricted set of ASCII EPS and legacy Illustrator PostScript path commands. It is not a general PostScript interpreter. Modern PDF-based AI, binary EPS, procedures, text, clipping, images and complex effects are rejected. Export plain SVG or simplify an ASCII Illustrator 8 EPS if your file is unsupported.
What happens to curves and units?
The DXF declares millimetres. Curves become straight segments at the entered tolerance. Known dimension checks are essential: artwork export scale and drawing scale can differ. Stroke widths and fill appearance are not expanded into cut geometry.
Can I convert several artboards?
Export one page or artboard per file. Multi-page or declared multi-artboard PostScript is rejected rather than combining drawings. A single exported page may still contain several separate parts; inspect the result.
Where is my original?
Conversion runs on this device. The app receives the original when you open the converted drawing. When you choose to save it to a paid workspace, the original and generated DXF are kept together. Downloading a DXF does not itself save either file to a workspace.
